In this study, we induced yeast form and hyphal form growth by using phenylethyl alcohol and rPmI 1640 medium and determined the fine chemical structure of the cell wall mannans of both form cells. acetolysis followed by HPLC and 1H-NMR analysis of the mannan of hyphal form cells indicated that it possesses large amount of β-1,2-linkage-containing long oligosaccharides, mannohexaose, mannoheptaose and mannooctaose.
